Free Workshop: Effective Contingency Planning

The workshop

Join Cumbria Business Growth Hub and ‘Business Navigators’ on the 2nd March, 10am to 4pm, at Newton Rigg, Penrith, for a free workshop focused on ensuring effective contingency planning processes and behaviours to support growth, competitiveness and profitability.

This interactive workshop will enable you to build contingency planning and foresight assessment capability for both home and external markets, and understand and respond to risks and opportunities more effectively by:

  • working with scenarios and applying these to your own business
  • using real time contingency plan building and development methodology
  • learning how to quality assure, review and maintain your contingency plan with time, costs and a risk and opportunity dashboard

The cost

This workshop is FREE OF CHARGE to eligible businesses owing to funding through Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, local authorities and the European Regional Development Fund.  It would normally cost around £140.00.

Using proven tools to understand and analyse the risks and opportunities facing your organisation, content for the sessions will cover

  • What happens if? Current situation analysis vs required situation analysis
  • Risk assessment in real time
  • Developing the plan
  • Maintaining the plan
  • Managing change. Understanding and addressing challenges
  • Optimise your resources to meet new challenges. Quality assurance process and behaviours, coordination and delegation best practice
  • Embedding learning- key learning points
