Eco-innovation Cumbria

Eco-innovation Cumbria

Eco-innovation Cumbria is a support programme to help SMEs improve efficiency, grow capacity and develop new solutions for industry.

Eco-Innovation Cumbria will help SMEs to increase innovation in low carbon technologies and encourage their adoption. Through research and innovation and the development of higher level skills, it will enable businesses to grow capability in developing new products and markets thereby enhancing the growth of the low carbon and environmental goods sector within Cumbria.

The Eco-Innovation Cumbria Project will provide a variety of free workshops and events around Cumbria to explore innovation challenges. It will also develop collaborative research projects between the University partners and SMEs.

How can you help?

  • Raise the profile of the programme by sharing with your clients, colleagues, contacts and on social media
  • Refer companies who may be interested in taking part in the programme
  • We will shortly be advertising for a full-time project manager – do you know someone suitable?
  • Look out for an invitation to the launch event schedule for some time in March

Eco-innovation Cumbria is a 4 year project funded by the European Regional Development Fund. It is led by the University of Cumbria partnering with Lancaster University and the University of Central Lancashire.
