Student, Graduate & Supported Placements

This project is currently put on hold

Benefit from the latest skills and knowledge by giving students or graduates a defined piece of work over 20 days.

Working with you we can:
  • Help source a suitable student or graduate from all over the UK
  • Support you to ensure that the student or graduate achieves the best for your business
  • Administer and pay them for up to 20 days to undertake work on your project

The work can be carried out over two, three or five days a week, with the possibility of carrying out some of the work remotely.

We can help you access students or graduates from our own courses such as:
  • Business, IT, leadership and management, marketing and operations management
  • Science and engineering, sustainable energy technology, life cycle analysis
  • Creative arts, performance, sports, social work and forestry
We can also help source graduates returning to Cumbria from study elsewhere, or help you to recruit nationally to any subject area to ensure you have access to the best candidate for your business.

Have a student or graduate work with your business on a 15 day project alongside an academic expert who will spend up to three days with your project.

Supported placements combines accessing academic and technical expertise with a student or graduate placement. This blended approach is beneficial for more strategic projects where it is important that the student work is supervised, or where the business will benefit from higher level expertise.

A good example of this approach would be where a business needs to make some step changes to their website. A graduate could be appointed for three weeks, and a web expert from the University could be on-site one day per week, offering advice, and guiding the graduate.

We have an inspiring range of expertise in a wide range of areas including:
  • Business, IT, leadership and management, marketing and operations management
  • Science and engineering, sustainable energy technology, life cycle analysis
  • Creative arts, performance, sports, social work and forestry
