Victoria Bridge in Kendal – Weight restriction to HGVs

Victoria Bridge in Kendal was affected by the recent floods.  The route is the main arterial route for travelling north and this had caused severe disruptions resulting in many visitors avoiding coming into the town centre.

Although the bridge has reopened, there is a weight restriction which limits to HGV’s with a gross weight including load of less than 32 tonnes. All HGV’s with a weight greater than 32 Tonnes will have to divert via the M6 as before.
